Our 2018/19 faculty and Board members at a potluck hosted by Board President, Barb Roggenbeck.

Board President, Barb Roggenbeck

Barbara Roggenbeck is an active member of the social and fundraising committees at GBMS. She also volunteers in the classroom providing hands on science experiments for the children to enjoy. Barbara has lived all over North America: Louisiana, Puerto Rico, Florida, and Edmonton, Alberta but hopes she has landed for good in Bozeman. She has a B.S. in Biology from Florida State University, a M.A. from the University of North Florida, and a PhD from the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry at the University of Alberta with a specialization in Physiology. Learning is something Barbara will never get enough of whether it be her own academic experiences, teaching science coursework to university students, or volunteering to share her love of science with GBMS preschool students. Her lifelong love of learning is what prompted her to join the Board at GBMS. Great Beginnings gave her a “warm and fuzzy feeling inside the second she stepped in the door” and she looks forward to making sure that feeling is maintained and replicated within the GBMS community and all its future endeavors. She has an alumni GBMS son, and another in the Rainbow Room.

Interim Treasurer, Cheryl Christman Krieg

Cheryl Christman Krieg has two decades of nonprofit management and fundraising experience. Her roles have included: Program Director for Eagle Mount, Executive Director of the Sweet Grass Community Foundation, and most recently, President of Eagle Mount’s Board of Directors. Cheryl remembers when Great Beginnings was in a rented room in Eagle Mount’s office building twenty years ago and is impressed by how far it has come. She would consider it a privilege to serve the school as it continues to grow to meet the needs of its families and the community. Cheryl is currently a stay-at-home mom and when she isn’t involved in volunteer and committee work at Eagle Mount, she can be found playing with horses and skiing with her husband, Wick, and daughter, Eloise. Eloise is in her third year at Great Beginnings and is in the Sunshine Room.
